Club Social Services
Club Social Services
In 2022 academic Year, there were 50 clubs at MCUT, including 8 service clubs. We have established a four-stage service-learning process for social service clubs. These four stages specifically refer to preparation, service, reflection, and celebration. The aim is to cultivate a mindset of long-term contributions among students in these clubs. We encourage various student clubs to engage in social service work, embodying the spirit of diligence, perseverance, and practicality while fostering a strong sense of social citizenship, responsibility, and effective learning. To support these clubs in organizing various social service activities, MCUT provides facilities and equipment needed for their activities free of charge and subsidizes relevant expenses such as student insurance, transportation, and material costs. In the 2022 academic year, there were 20 clubs with different attributes at MCUT, which organized 32 social activities. These activities included 13 sessions of moral education for elementary and secondary schools, 7 beach cleaning activities, 4 mountain cleaning and animal vaccination activities, 7 blood donation, orphanage, and nursing home activities, and 1 emergency delivery activity. In total, these activities served 1,855 people.
2023 Charity Run for the Celebration of Father’s Day
The Peak of Ming Chi route is the training route for the New Taipei City Runners Association. It starts at the track-and-field ground of MCUT and runs up Nantai Road to the headquarters building of Nanya Technology. This route is winding and challenging, especially during the downhill return trip, testing runners' endurance. Despite being only 10.5km long, the route is known for its steep inclines and declines, with no flat sections for rest, which helps build the willpower of the runners. In August, the Charity Run for Celebration of Father’s Day was held at MCUT, demonstrating runners' social responsibility for public welfare and promoting a culture of sports and road running.
