It has been 60 years since Ming Chi Technical College was founded.  With the founders’ philosophy of “getting to the bottom of things and striving for
excellence”, we pursue meticulousness, and are pragmatic and down-to-earth.  We have established many features in successively running the education
units.  Among these features, the internship system that requires student on-campus accommodation, doing work-study and practicing on campus together
stands out.  This is also one of the approaches of world-renowned universities.  In 1999 Ming Chi Technical College was upgraded to be an Institute of
Technology, devoting itself to quality improvement.  We successively established the related departments and institutes, and optimized its research and
development (R&D) features.  In 2004 Ming Chi Institute of Technology was renamed “Ming Chi University of Technology” (MCUT) and positioned as a
“university-industry-R&D-oriented” university of technology.  MCUT is committed to the excellent development of teaching and research. 
In recent years, we keep holding the concept of “holistic education” as well as the education system with work-study program on campus.  It is expected
that the graduates of MCUT will become the first choices for employers in industries.
